Firstly, Welcome to my new blog about my life and times on the East coast. I cannot promise a new post every day or every week but I will try and update this blog as often as I can.

So my family and I have been here for about a month, having moved from Northern BC. While it is impossible to compare the beauty of  Nova Scotia and BC its impossible to ignore just how amazing both places are. I will miss the Majestic mountains of BC and driving, as well as running, along the mighty Skeena River. There is a rugged beauty here on the eastern shore that reminds me of Northern Ontario and cottage country in Southern Ontario which I have missed for the past 8 years since leaving home.

While driving into Metro(thats what we maritimers call the big city of Halifax/Dartmouth) I am tempted at every curve to jump out of my car and snap pictures. However with it being -20 degrees the temptation usually dissipates and I keep on driving. But alas I have snapped a couple pics on my cell phone and here they are for you to enjoy.

I hope you all enjoyed my first post and feel free to enter your email at the bottom of the page to get notified whenever I add a new post. Also feel free to comment and suggest topics for me to write about.
